Description

A solar panel on the housing tops up the built-in 5200 mAh battery, so you need to visit the camera far less often.

It films in 8K and takes 60 MP photos. In colour during the day, in sharp black and white at night up to 30 metres. It starts recording within 0.1 second of movement, with a 120 degree field of view.

You watch on your phone. The camera creates its own wifi network, so when you are nearby you pull the footage through the app without taking it off the tree. The housing is IP67 waterproof, so it can stay outside all year.

Frequently asked questions

Can I watch when I am not near the camera?

As long as you are within range of its wifi, yes. If it hangs in your garden, close to the house, you can do that from the sofa. If it hangs further away in the woods, you walk over to it.

It cannot send footage to your phone over the internet. For that you need a camera with a SIM card, and this is not that model.

How sharp are the images in the dark?

Night recordings are black and white. Thanks to 8K video and 60 MP photos, outlines and fur stay visible, so you recognise the animal instead of only seeing that something moved.

As soon as it gets dark the camera switches over by itself. During the day it goes back to colour automatically.

Does it keep working in winter?

Yes. The housing is IP67 waterproof and handles rain, fog and cold, so you can leave it hanging all season.

It also keeps going with little sun. The solar panel tops up as soon as there is light, and you can put four AA batteries in the compartment as a backup for a dark week.

Where is the best place to hang it?

At 50 to 100 centimetres high, angled slightly downwards. Pick a spot where animals pass by naturally, such as a game trail or a gap between bushes.

Avoid direct sunlight in the lens and branches that move right in front of the camera. Through the app you see straight away whether it is positioned well.

Hotspot camera wordt naar thuisnetwerk wifi gezet indien je je data uitzet. Je hoeft het kaartje er niet uit te halen. Je hoeft geen G4 camera aan te schaffen wat ik op internet lees. Prima camera. Werkt fantastisch. Ik heb 2 verbeteringen doorgegeven aan Siltcon wat betreft als je de camera op een plankje bevestigd. Onderkant grote sluitring met veerring bovenkant een kleinere ring wat het draagvlak aanweerskanten door 2 moeren is zeer gering voor het gewicht van de camera. Als je de camera monteert is de wrijving op de 2 kunststof vlakken veel te gering. Doe er een zachte rubber ring tussen en de boel zit veel steviger. Ik heb gevraagd dit er bij te leveren voor een product dat dan 100% voldoet.

Wat een verschil met mijn vorige camera waar de app heel regelmatig vastliep en de video opname op den duur niet meer werkte is deze camera een opluchting met eindelijk mooie beelden ( nu een dikke maand in gebruik) En als het zo blijft… koop ik mij misschien nog eentje voor bij mijn schoonouders het wild te zien!
